The Mysterious Familiarity of Moon 🌕

I was looking at the moon with curiosity
How do you find sufficient audacity?
You are nothing without the help of the sun
And you show only borrowed luminosity

People look at you when they feel alone
And they somehow manage to get along
You play major fool out of people's hearts
Telling "you have in you the ability"

Maybe I was jealous or was I worried
I only wanted to get rid of you
I kept telling them not to look at you
You are not that big of a necessity

But I still watch people look at you
Telling you" I need you to find my peace"
Never understood how you have become
People's first and foremost priority

But now I have opened my eyes to
See the actual thing that is going on
It's not you they look at to help them
It's your calm and patient personality

You hear the problems of everyone
Despite of what they have done for you
You do not keep tabs on people's money
Nor are you concerned with their loyalty

You shine on the people who need you
And the people who think you're just a ball
You remain up there in the sky alone
And bless the world with serenity

And that is why sun chose only you
To borrow the light and to demonstrate
You have no one yet you are not alone
Your true power is your generosity
